ABOUT P!D SCHOOL

Do you believe that people should be involved in the design and planning of environments, products and processes that impact them every day? Think that your work could have greater influence if the users were involved? Want to create change in your community, but don’t know how to start?

Join us for the Empowering Youth Through Participatory Design Workshop Series! In this series, we will explore how to engage communities through Participatory Design tools and methods and ultimately, how to create more successful, people-centred outcomes that benefit individuals and society as a whole.

Through these targeted workshops and training programmes, design professionals, artists, civil servants, youths and yourself can learn how to incorporate Participatory Design methods into your own areas of work and community-driven projects.

By Channel NewsAsia Published: 06 Feb 2017 Audio: English Built on the belief that 'People can influence and make positive change to their own neighbourhoods', Mizah Rahman has been working to turn apathetic Singaporeans into engaged ones using Participatory Design - a design process that brings designers and communities together to co-create solutions.
Hack Our Play (HOP) is an initiative that allows children, educators and parents co-create their very own play space, from start to finish. Together, they will be able to conceive, create and curate a safe and unique play experience while also fostering stronger bonds, greater community investment and a sense of pride and excitement through the process.
